New Direction, Same True Bearing

The past two years were a time for huge change for all of us and least of which for me and True Bearing.  I started my company when I realized that my 25 year entrepreneurial career in the recruitment and staffing industry had come to an end. I could no longer participate in a broken recruiting system that treated human beings as if they were commodities to be managed like cogs in a supply chain.   I was not making the situation any better and it was time for a change.

It was the summer of 2020 - Unemployment was at a record high and we had all seen such pain and suffering.  It was clear to me that the myriad of people disengaged at work would want to make a change to jump into meaningful, invigorating work, that makes a difference and provides you with a life of distinction.  So I started a career transition service.

I have learned a lot in the last year - primarily that I LOVE coaching and that I am really good at it.  But I do not like selling myself as a coach - it is too much about me.  I thought I would be selling a process. And where the process I created is useful,  what I was actually doing for my clients was helping them find the confidence and belief in themselves to feel capable of making a big life change.  Something about that message always seemed difficult for me to get across and was best given by my clients who experienced my work first hand.

So now as I am getting referrals to new coaching clients it was time to expand in a different direction.  In looking at what was most effective about my coaching work there was one clear benefit that made an outsized difference in people's lives - identifying and articulating their life's purpose.  Knowing your purpose provides Clarity, Direction and Freedom. Knowing your "Why" allows you to transcend the superficial and build powerful connections and see new futures. 

I also see that the current shift in the employment market has caused significant pain for many companies in attracting and retaining the best candidates.  It is clear that many companies struggle to attract remarkable employees and clients because their story isn’t inspiring. 

It was clear that True Bearing could help companies unveil Core Purpose and craft engaging stories that lead to powerful connections and the actualization of new and profitable opportunities.

So in addition to my work as a coach I will be helping organizations unveil their core purpose and articulate the values that support that purpose.  With those tools it is possible to:
